With family in town for the past week and a half, I haven't been paying nearly as much attention to the resort collections as I should, so thanks to my friend Yurie of YKnot Bowties for letting me in on the amazingness that is MSGM Resort 2016.
MSGM designer Massimo Giorgetti drew on cartography for the collection, translating bird's eye views of Milan and New York in embroidery, and looking to landscape architect and artist Roberto Burle Marx for a multi-color graphic print. What results is a bright, linear collection full of stripes, zigzags and even a floral or two, and I can't tear my eyes away!
The chunky shoes, the touch of mod, even the culottes—I love it all. But it's those perfectly contrasting shapes and stripes that make MSGM's collection the most eye-catching of the season. Rarely do I share every look of a collection, but you've got to see this one in its entirety...
As with most things, the best are saved for last. So. now that we've all picked our jaws up off the floor, tell me: who have been your favorites of the Resort 2016 season?
