Now that spring has (finally!) sprung, I know that we're all dying to shed our winter boots for pedicured toes and a pair of sandals to show them off. But ugly sandals? The idea took some getting used to, but last year's massive Birkenstock resurgence has led to a slew of cute-ugly footwear this season, and I think I'm coming around.
It's a love/hate relationship really, but who can deny the comfort of a German-made footbed sandal, a simple pool slide or a '90s-style flatform? This spring, you'll find them all, from an iteration of the buckle sandal by Givenchy to a Teva/Opening Ceremony collab to the classic Birkenstock in an even more hideous three-band version called the Florida. (Confession: I just ordered a pair of Floridas in white on white!)
So, what do you think? Have you jumped on the ugly sandal bandwagon yet, or will you be sticking to your heels and wedges come summer?
