Luxury handbag designer Jalan Sahbá has released her new collection, L'odissea, and it's a jaw dropper! With Italian craftsmanship and global inspiration, the collection comes together in creamy calf leather, hand-carved semiprecious stones and the brand's signature horn-shaped clasps.
Launched in 2011, the brand is a creative project of trained interior designer, art connoisseur and fashion enthusiast Jalan Sahbá. The Italian born Sahbá draws on her European roots, American/Iranian heritage and life experience in India, Kenya and Mozambique for a blend of contemporary style and ethnic influence.
Each piece from the L'odissea collection is handcrafted in Italy of materials sourced from around the globe. The stones, in fact, are expertly carved by one of India’s last remaining royal jewelers in materials such as lemon, rose and smoky squarts; amethyst; amzonite; and rhodochrosite.
Prices are high, to be sure, but for the cost of an overly recognizable "it" bag, you could get yourself something truly unique.
