Our air conditioner broke last week. So, yeah, that's been fun. We've managed to get the place to a semi-comfortable 76 degrees with a portable A/C, but I sure wouldn't mind some ultra-cool sleepwear right about now. Next to sleeping in the buff, there's nothing better than silk on a hot summer night, and this collection by Hovey Design for kumi kookoon is just dreamy.
Available as silk throws, duvet covers, pillows and pillow cases, as well as a full range of loungewear, the striking botanical pattern was created by Hollister and Porter Hovey, the sisters behind Brooklyn firm Hovey Design. Kumi kookon has rendered the designs in 100% Grade A mulberry silk, which it claims not only regulates body temperature, but also reduces hair loss and delays facial wrinkling. Some hefty claims, indeed, but who even cares if they're true when the products look this good?

We just went through 13 days of no A/C while our home warranty and the a/c company figured out what they were going to do. I feel your pain. 76 isn't bad at all. Before we got the portable a/c it had gotten up to 88 in our house. Was brutal.
