Fiona Ellis of Ellis Eye is the latest interior designer to land on my radar, though fashion types may already know her for discovering the likes of Karen Elson and Alek Wek. Turning her discerning eye from models to interiors pays off in a portfolio of moody, antique-filled spaces where more is definitely more.
My favorite is 1940s North London home where bright Eastern influence mingles with old world opulence, but an apartment in a Victorian manor house decked out in skulls is a close second...
The skulls are made by Ellis' partner in businsess and love, Scott Hendrie, who somehow earned the unfortunate moniker of "artiste" on the Ellis Eye website. I'll let it slide considering how beautiful the work is.
The snakeskin walls are fun!
