Jarson Residence

Looks like a real-life architect is reading my little blog. I really don't know much about architecture, just what I like, so I'm very happy to see that what I'm writing here appeals to someone with actual knowledge on the subject.

Anyways, Eric Weber sent me these photos of the Jarson residence, which was named House of the Year by AIA Phoenix Metro. Eric designed the house with Will Bruder+Partners, and it's right up my alley - modern and rustic with some mid-century influence. The wall of windows and serene desert landscaping don't hurt either.

More photos after the jump...

  2. Seriously, can he come over and design a place for me and the man in Greece??? WOW!!!
Have I seen his work anywhere else - Architectural Digest? I'm such a sucker for cool buildings/designs!
Also rally love Marmol Radziner, Bart Prince, Steven Ehrlich & Sam. A Cardella's work - check out 'Desert Homes' in A.Digest - such an amazing feature.

  8. Dear Marissa:

Thanks for the kind words, and also thanks to all of your readers for their generous comments. Please let them know that I'd be happy to help them out with any design needs they might have, especially from the reader in Greece; I'd LOVE to have an excuse to visit ! :)

P.S: Marissa, it's Will Bruder+Partners, not Will Gruber; not a big deal now that I'm on my own, though.
